Children Knit Crochet Patterns American Thread Star Book 231

This pattern booklet, American Thread, Star Book 231, is on the small side, just 8 patterns, but, what wonderful patterns they are.  The patterns are designed for children between 6 months and 6 years.      Here, let me snow you ....
Portraits in Fashion
American Thread, Star Book 231
Portraits in Fashion starts off with a big statement is this WONDERFUL Girls Party Dress.   It's short sleeves, with a little round neckline and drop waist ... both a textural and visual wonder.   This will piece is crocheted and sized 2, 4, & 6.
Poncho & Tam:  This cute set is knitted with crocheted edging and ties..   It is a one-size pattern designed to fit a child in the 3 - 6 years.  She'll love the texture of the popcorn stitching and, of course, the pompom ties.

These adorable pieces are knitted suits.   The sets include a jacket and pants for a boy (although, I don't know why a girl couldn't also wear), and for girls, a jacket, skirt and beret.   Both the Boys and Girls set as sized 2, 4 & 6.

This layette is being called a Carriage Set.  It consists of a cover, a sacque, cap and booties.   The cover measures 31" x 38".   This set is crocheted and sized 6 months to 1 year.  The lacy edge is particularly wonderful.

Toddler Boys Raglan Sweater - What a handsome piece for your little man.   The sweater is knitted in colorful stripes and sized 2, 4 & 6.

Okay, talk about cute !   This little girls Crochet Jumper is sized 2-3 and 4-6.   It is an easy product, mini length and u-neckline.

Fringe Coat.   Do you love it !    This little delight is Size 6 and is knit with crocheted loop stitch detail for the fringe.    Oh ... a pattern for the mittens and tam is included, as well.

Knitted vests for him and her.   A separate pattern for each ... one has buttons and the other a tied.   These are Knit/Crochet and sized 2, 4, and 6.

Here's one more Baby Layette.   This one is knitted with some crochet and sized 6 months to one year.

We end this booklet with the same picture as the front cover (as is typical for American Thread).  But, what a great back picture it is !

Every pattern here is worth being created.  But, I have to say that the party dress and the fringe coat are just over the top.   I'm not a little girl, but I'd still like to have one of each.

I've redigitized most of these patterns and they are available in my shop -- just click the link under their respective pictures should you be interested.     .

Thanks for dropping by,
Lorrie
