Free Shell Shawl Wide Scarf Crochet Pattern Vintage 1970

This shell scarf is so wide, the creator is referring to it as a shawl.

 I can see that, draped over her shoulders, low hung in the back, with both fringed ends draped across her shoulders.   This pattern is crocheted.  It is from American Thread, Star Book 226, Vintage 1970 (public domain).      This pattern book is listed in my shop in PDF format, but I want to share this particular pattern with you here ... as a freebie.
