It looks to be fast and easy to put together with a very simple supply list = Pencil and Paper, Felt, Ribbon, Scissors and a Hole Punch.
- Trace pattern section for the beanie section with each square equaling 1 inch. Cut out.
- Cut 2 sections each of two different felt colors.
- Punch holes in the felt, as shown on the pattern diagram.
- Lace alternating colors together, bottom to top with 18 inch ribbons of both colors
- Tie ribbons at the top.
This design is loaded with potential fun for the younger set. Make them up in school colors, or simple a childs favorite colors. Perhaps increase the ribbon length, and instead of a simple tie at the top, make long streamers. How about attaching pompons?
Make them a project to do with your kids. Cut out a variety of sections and ribbons and let them mix and match and proudly wear their colorful creations. Oh, I know that I'm referencing kids here, but, adults are not excluded. Make one for yourself and let out that old Mousketeer!
