Kids Knitted Mittens

Here's a simple pair of mittens that you can stitch up for your children.   After stitching, they are decorated with pieces of rick-rack  and french knots.

To make these mittens, you'll need 1 ounce 4-ply sport yarn, a pair of standard knitting needles number 4 and a small amount of medium size rickrack and embroidery floss.  The directions are give for a size 4 with changes in parenthesis for sizes 6 and 8.   Here's the pattern ....

(To print, click to enlarge and copy/paste to a word document of your choice).

This is the last pattern I'm featuring from the October 1963 issue of The Workbasket.     Hope you are able to use it.

Thanks for dropping by,
Lorrie
